    This report is about the decarbonisation of the economy, not the replacement of domestic power generation sources.

    Domestic power is a subset, this report includes costs such as decarbonising the mining and transport industry (capital replacement of assetts). This is expensive but when you factor in the fact that capital assets (such as mining fleet) are replaced over time, it does not give a true picture of 'additional' cost.

    The nuclear costs that have been quoted recently are for the replacement of base load coal, so you need to compare apples with apples. This report does not do that.

    I would like to see a debate on the nuclear v's renewables cost for domestic electricity supply.
