I walked by the central Sydney Pitt St shop (based in the Galleries) on a couple of occasions before and after Xmas. Relatively quiet. I asked a staff member, he said likewise.
Probably just a reflection of the suburban malls garnering the traffic in Sydney given the virus outbreak.
Interested in any anecdotal evidence anyone else has to offer. Overall I would have though the retail environment would be quite good, at least in Sydney - terrible weather, can't go to the northern beaches, can't go interstate... nothing to do.
