They still want 50% of their wage, even though their employer is getting NO INCOME.
Let's say you are the HEAD CHEF in a restaurant that has closed it's doors.
Should you get 50% of your wage?
So many people have 'lost' their jobs, and are getting paid NIL/ZERO/NOTHING
so what makes footballers/any sports players, more important?
Many casual workers, an integral part of our workforce,
won't even be able to get c/link payments.
Many are on $300 thou plus a year, and if they haven't saved a $100 thou. or so
for a rainy day, many of whom have been playing for years,
maybe part of their training should be "financial planning"?
