    No, and that is EXACTLY why the NRL is so desperate to get on the field . What do you think the 50% pay reduction going forward is all about because when the comp starts again, they will fulfil their tv contract duties? They secured 2 months pay and if the comp doesn't go ahead in 2 months time they will forgo their contracts and not get paid for the rest of the year.

    It sounds a hell of a lot like what MANY other businesses are doing. I have plenty of mates on holidays now either taking their holiday leave or getting paid to stay at home and they don't know whether their jobs will be there in a a few months time.

    It sounds like a familiar tale. Except, I know the NRL player are willing to cop a 50% reduction if and when they set foot on the field again. Yet, I have seen plenty of pot shots but no one say that they wouldn't do what is best for themselves in a situation like this. Would you not negotiate if you were in the position to do so?
