There is no denying the fact that Howard was a master politician.

Look after the haves and keep the lower class onside by throwing them a few crumbs now and then, by playing to their fears and prejudices; "I'll save you from the evil assylum seekers." and at the same time pull the rug from under them via Workchoices etc. Beautiful stuff for those that get their world view from 'A current affair'.

Is this the way we want our leaders to behave? I for one think not...divide and conquer?

A monkey could have presided over that boom period and achieved the same economic result; and would probably not have neglected infrastructure and education to the same degree.

Most of us with half a brain can see a turd for what it is....unless you're one of the flies.
