This is the guy that we're talking about - yes? (rhetorical question)

    http://www.marketwired.com/press-re...executive-joins-tarsiers-advisory-2118534.htm

And some on here were questioning his motives - credentials - involvement with TV2U - yes? (just gobsmacked).

Seriously - does anyone imagine that this guy, with all of his experience and skills, (he is a known closer of deals) woke up one morning and said, "... woo hoo I think I might join a losing team?" I am not sure how it is possible for anyone to not see the Boyd appointment as anything but a winner.

He closes deals - what do TV2U need to do - yep that's ... it close some deals. I will almost bet that he is weeding the TV2U contract garden and composting some of the crap and telling the company to chase X & Y and close them out! Oh ... and and here's how you do it.

I have met some astute business people in my time and they get to be where they are because they can quickly sort the crap from the real gems. Boyd got to the top by ....? Well ... it is almost certain that it wasn't by picking losers.

A guy with a bio that reads like his does not give himself to whimsy and carelessness.

Not much more to be said really. Except ... I told you so.

As a reminder. Oh and wait does he have strong China ties? Well blow me down so he does. Hmm ... must all be a chance thing - obviously no strategic intent here by the company.

"Mr. Boyd is one of the world's most experienced technology, media and intellectual property investment and development specialists with a long record of success in Europe, America, Australia and Asia," said William May, President of Tarsier Innovation. "Mr. Boyd has an impressive resume, in 1999 he co-founded St Banks International Group, a Shanghai-based investment boutique that capitalized small and early stage Chinese technology companies. In 2009 Mr. Boyd was appointed Senior IP Consultant with Longan Law, one of China's leading IP law firms. He was also an Advisor with Callahan Advisory of Denver, CO, one of the world's leading advisory and operating companies for the telecoms and cable television industries. In 2011 he co-founded SmartCity Software, the first company to focus on the design, development and acquisition of technologies needed to design, build and operate modern 'smart cities.' Smartcity Software's Chinese subsidiary, HTXW Technologies, provides technologies, products and consulting services to China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and to State Grid Corporation, China's sole electricity and network supplier and is working extensively in the development of over 300 new 'smart cities' throughout China."
"I'm excited to be a member of Tarsier's Advisory Board. They have a great vision and team in place and their 'Focused Solutions For A Brighter Planet' approach resonates with me. We have a lots of opportunities for Smart Cities technologies in China and we've been looking for a way to address the US market, Tarsier will be a great fit," said Boyd of his appointment."
