Now that's a very good question, vc.

To the best of my knowledge, (speaking only of Cortical Dynamics) the company exists as a registered entity, and Mr. Breeze et al are the board of directors.

I've never seen any shareholder or entitlement listing, and I simply presume that there's some kind of trustee arrangement where someone or something holds the Cortical shares in trust pending a distribution to the Cortical subscribers.

The evil cynical gnome sitting on my shoulder says if Cortical's a winner, it's theirs, if it's a dud, it's yours!. And then he cackles horribly.
