Ok, so I wasn’t going to post on this thread because I didn’t want to give any oxygen to any greenies out there, but when they lie I have to respond with facts.
Australias yearly co2 output is 1% of the world’s emissions. Do I think we need to reduce? Yes but not at the expense of our economy.
Other nefarious nations are laughing at us as we are spending our money on renewables which they are supplying and not reducing themselves.
If greenies really wanted to change the world, they would fly to Beijing and protest or protest in US, India or Russia.
And the next argument would be “But you export all this gas and need to take that into account”.
Well if we didn’t sell it to developing nations they would buy it somewhere else, or revert back to burning coal or more deforestation.
Australias energy use is nothing compared to the world and yes, we are all going to pay for rushed transitions through our taxes.
That is the ones of us who have jobs and pay tax. I am yet to meet a greenie that contributes to society through full time employment, helping elderly etc, and not just scream their ideology’s.
