It's in the Govt's best interest to get PEP-11 resolved quick and early in their term.
If this goes to court then it would drag out to the next election
Now there is enough distraction with First Nation Voice and issues in the NT to keep PEP-11 off the front pages
And really what have the Govt go to lose letting it proceed now
If PEP-11 proceeds and hits gas it's a WIN narrative for the Govt
Albo has delivered gas to meet east coast shortages, jobs to follow through development, addressing the pocket pain for all.
If PEP-11 proceeds and fails to find gas also a WIN narrative for the Govt
Nothing to see here, but Albo has delivered democratic and transparent process unlike his predecessor
