Yep, but to the best of knowledge, NOPTA only provide the initial recommendation and then it is the JA that make the final decisions. I don't think it is too long a bow to draw to say that Scomo would be willing to use/sacrifice PEP11 to further his political aspirations in the short term knowing full well that in the long run his grounds were not robust enough to warrant the decision he took. After all, it is tax payers money that will be paid to Advent if they were successful in court, Scomo seems quite happy to spend other people's money if it helps reduce the influence of the Climate 200 candidates. I mean, how farcical was it that not only did he roll out Falinski and Wicks, but he also used the opportunity to promote LNP candidates who are not even MPs!!! Total disgrace.
