Its good to have debate on here.My two cents worth is I cannot see the governments either Federally or State wanting to delay this decision as they both have at least 2 years left before they got to think about calling an election.I feel the Labour government have nothing to lose and will say Yes to approval as they can just blame the previous governments bungling of the whole procedure and now having their hands tied in making sure this decision is done by the Law . Remember really the government didn't even contest the court case and agreed to settle.

Approval given ,drill done and a clear picture will be there for all to see either there is a major new gas field discovered on the door step of the biggest population centres of Australia (East Coast) or they can say we tried but there is no gas here and now we have to put all our efforts into what ever other options are available .This could be all answered in less than 12 months if the want is there and then there is still plenty of time to work on their reelection plans.OMO good luck everyone!
