Thanks SnooRegrets and apologies if this has been posted previously. Happy Easter and best of luck to all!So I did some digging on BPH and PEP 11 from a different angle. .. There’s been much talk about “will they or won’t they approve” so I thought I’d come at this from a different angle. We know the decision maker has sounded somewhat “pro gas” in his interviews and points to a lack of exploration that could present as a shortage in the near to medium term. I wanted to dig a bit deeper and look at how this gas will get moved up and down the east coast, assuming they are successful. So I googled pipelines. What did I come up with? Newcastle seems to be very much a focal point for gas. Extensive talk of a storage facility and import/export terminal at the port, which would also potentially fuel the marine industry. An extension to Newcastle of Jemena’s east coast pipeline that runs all the way from Victoria (those gas fields that are getting nearer to the end of their life) right up to Sydney. Mention of making it bi-directional as well so they can send gas back down the coast so it can connect to “emerging new supplies of gas”. Big pressure to get rid of coal fired power stations. Talk of a new gas-powered power station on the central coast. Add to that another terminal at Port Kembla where gas could be entered into the pipeline to serve the east coast market So we go back to PEP 11 and it all kind of neatly fits into place. I’ll post the links I’ve found. You tell me what you think... So who’s buying more BPH tomorrow?

this was always going to go ahead in my opinion its just timing on keiths behalf, theres been a few bumps in the road recently with scomo and newcastle herald etc, KP always seen to be doing the right thing the last thing he wants is to completely undermine those opposite directly after theyve released a statement against PEP-11 again which they have been doing alot lately. once he sees fit he will approve maybe with a bit more evidence up his sleeve and playing the east coast gas shortage card. good luck to all holders in the upcoming weeks
