Agreed, I think that report relies on depleted gas fields, whereas the Government wants to focus on "technology" to get to net zero. And I agree that the release of acreage near the twelve apostles: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-06-16/twelve-apostles-gas-and-oil-plan-sparks-anger/100219264 doesn't make sense if they didn't intend on opening new gas fields.
