You are right on the money. When we see powerhouse economies like Germany also saying that gas will be their transition pathway for a long time into the future, you can see that there is no risk for the Australian government to back gas. It's not a high risk path and they are in good company.
And in Australia we have the crazy situation of a company setting up in SA to IMPORT gas!
If we get to athe point where we have to buy imported gas after putting the brakes on exploration, voters are going to let their anger be known.
