A few interesting comments on Twittter today re: Energy / Gas:

• The La Nina pattern has emerged in the Pacific. That typically spells below-normal temperatures in the northern hemisphere and has prompted regional weather agencies to issue warnings about a frigid winter = spike in demand for LNG.

• A colder winter threatens to worsen Asia's energy crisis Temperatures in China have plunged and are already colder than usual in some northern areas Japan expects below normal temperatures next month S Korea sees a colder start to winter

• The La Nina climate phenomenon may cut rainfall in Brazil by up to 30% and further curb hydroelectric plants. That is bound to boost LNG demand.

Let's hope commonsense prevails and PEP11 is approved ASAP.
