Who's knows really, as far as I know the decision after the election theory is just the most popular guess based on the information available. I don't think anything official has been stated by anyone in the know and I don't think anyone has been able to read this stock too accurately. All I know is the first permit extension application is with the joint authority for decision and is approaching 400 days, another 180 is pretty significant.
I guess if the election is not for another 6 months potentially and the ALP want to make it an election issue just like Mr Albanese said then KP could approve it now and it won't be an election issue by then!
