Seriously, do you follow politics at all?
As I have been saying since early this year, this won’t be approved before the next federal election. If the Coalition gets in (at this point highly unlikely) then it will get approved. If the ALP get in, it will be in the dustbin.
This government has a one seat majority - it is in all likelihood going to lose seats in WA (a given), Vic (a given) and Qld (a given) and doesn’t need to add more by approving a deal which will see it lose seats in NSW.
Sometimes you have to be aware of all the risks - politics being the main consideration here. Some will argue, well they drill off the NW Shelf - yes they do but how many people live up in that area? And there you have the key.
And please, putting in a presentation that potential drilling in late 2022? Yes, will probably happen if Coalition returned but there is the unknown.
