Just had a read and a listen to this hotcopper media release - 11.30 am on the 25/6/2025

    Link-
    https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/%C2%A0australia%E2%80%99s-gas-crisis-is-here-%E2%80%93-and-dying-coal-plants-aren%E2%80%99t-helping%C2%A0.8638479/

Before I listened to David Breeze, I thought there maybe a subtle change in messaging. Lets be clear, the press release today is no coincidence. AS stated in the PR -

Disclaimer: HotCopper had a commercial relationship with BPH Energy at the time this article was crafted and published.

    CRAFTED and published. Crafted !!!!

This is the slight of hand.

DB does not state that he will commit the gas to domestic supply, he simply claimed that PEP-11 has the potential to solve the East Coast gas demand.

Previously DB said PEP-11 could or would be dedicated to East Coast supply.

This provides the window for Labor to step in and state -

"We have approved PEP-11 on the condition that gas will be used for domestic supply only. Labor is commited to ensuring affordable gas for domestic use and our demand that any gas discovered will be used exclusively for the benefit of Australians".
