    Hopefully it's in the next 2 weeks of parliament sitting. I notice KP is still in Canberra so must be delivering his speech to the WA conference via video.

    Everything in the last couple of weeks has put the decision in the best place for an approval being;
    - EIA is being prepared
    - Tendering the Well and drill rig
    - Release of 80,000km2 of more exploration area (can be positive or negative depending on how you view it)
    - KP saying take it to the activists
    - Petroleum conference
    - G7 summit has positive takeaways (CCS)
    - Enough separation between the local by-election

    Otherwise,

    - we are really pushing too close to the federal election for a decision on this side of it. (next sitting is both early and late august)
    - The sunset date for the drill is still Feb/22 so the window to deliver is closing fast (Which is good urgency for us to make a decision but at a point it becomes overly onerous). I do note that NOPTA did confirm with me that KP can decide to change the sunset date at his discretion.

    If it doesn't happen by the end of June, I'm of the opinion the likelihood of approval reduces pretty significantly. I'd have to strongly considered focusing my energy elsewhere.
