The processing plant was approved under California’s stringent environmental laws in 2012 the only trouble Molycorp borrowed the $1.6 billion to build it, when the market crashed in 2014 they went broke.This makes this plant unique , it will be lauded for being the safest most efficient operation globally in the future.
