You're kidding aren't you Palm Tree,

Ifandwhen is arguing the very opposite to you.

He is saying Indonesia/BPMIGAS don't need another LNG project to have priority over the long term security of their domestic gas and power supply.

This essentially is also BPMIGAS's public argument.

To say that BPMIGAS "don't have the public good at heart" or otther arguments which imply they are stupid or corrupt is infantile.

They are the Indonesian Gas and Oil Regulatory ( Upstream and Downstream ) Authority.
If you want to develop a gas project in Indonesia you have to deal with them.
    It has always been thus.
    It will always be thus.

It's about time EWC with their much advertised experience in doing business in Asia shut up with their unauthorised public announcements and subsequent bitching and got on with the job they have been incapable of doing for the last 4 years.
And that is to progress the project under the rules that exist and stop bullshitting shareholders.
That quote by Brian Allen that they have prior permissian from BKPM is pathetically laughable and does no credit to the company or himself.

BPMIGAS are by no means faultless but it is their backyard so they get to make the rules.
Get used to it and get on with it.

    regards Shamish
