This may be a bit of a longshot, but reading a recent media release on NUF (Nufarm), one of the large companies who are trialling BPO’s Qcide insecticide product, I was intrigued by the bit where Nufarm Managing Director Doug Rathbone is quoted: " … Mr Rathbone said he expected growth in the current financial year to come from the US and Europe, and said the company was looking at acquiring some new products and businesses. "We'll have an improved position in the herbicide business in North America," he said. There are negotiations on possible company acquisitions to strengthen our position in the fungicide and insecticide area …." [The article was by David King on 11 Oct 2002 – can’t be sure now, but I think it was in the Australian] As I say, it’s a longshot., but could BioProspect be one of those possible acquisitions? Reports so far on the trials of the product seem very encouraging.
