Size does matter dimma, so it will be who-ever has the largest share backing. Beach have an agreement with some bigger DLS shareholders who have pledged their shares to Beach if they are successful in the t/o. Beach may have other commitments from DLS shareholders as time progresses. There will probably be at least one more offer so we should see a higher price for the shares. Those who have entered into the agreement will receive what-ever the final price will be.
Why would anyone back the Malaysians? I don't know, but you would surely question their motives. I expect that the stakes would be high otherwise why put your job on the line.
I do not know if the June 10 meeting will still be held, there has been no announcement to the contrary. Basically 2 Executive Directors are trying to oust 3 Executive Directors. There may be some non-exec directors backing either side but I don't know for sure. If there are and they don't succeed I reckon they will be out of work soon.
