I think most stocks will have a calamitous week if not next few months.
The real tragedy however is most people are forced to hold stocks indirectly through super and they will ultimately pay the price of the incompetence of governments, fiscal managers and the central banks by being reactive and getting behind the curve both on the upswings and downturns. Those people expecting to retire now and in the next 12 - 24 months will be hurt through no fault of their own.
Those who own stocks directly can make their own choices.
Anyhow I feel that this is a little different from the extreme rates the world had to endure back in the 80s so I see this as a necessary pain we need to go through to get things back to normal. Not a prediction just a sense of difference. The only constant being human nature and reaction.
Anyhow yes look out below as some might cry but so what we have all been here before, well some of us have, and it will rectify itself soon enough - barring any significant events - and the sun will still rise tomorrow and life will still gone on.
Cheers
