Have you noticed how the experts on the telly will tell you what the market did and - with great authority like they knew all along - why it did it. But they never venture to tell you what the market is going to do.
The best financial prediction I've heard was the head of BP when asked where the price of oil would go. He said: It will go up. And it will go down. But I don't know in which order.
