You just seem to be forgetting China, South Korea, Japan and Germany. This first 3 having dealt with the virus earlier than the countries that you have listed.
The fact that China is have a resurgence even with their totalitarian control of the population shows that the virus will not be defeated by any means that we currently have available to us in lieu of sacrificing the economy by enacting shut downs.
The road will be long and bumpy and every extra day that passes a V shaped recovery goes further out the window
