correct me if I'm wrong but the difference between us and the US is there the landholder owns the mineral rights .. so the incentive to develop the resources is SSOOO is much greater .. and you don't see too many locked gates!
Just imagine if that applied in OZ!
Food security , water, the environment would hardly rate a mention.
BHP will happily buy up those resources because they know they can exploit them.
