you can't legally - the list of stocks to short is listed. Brokers in house can break rules given the 3 day window but its rarely done - these days! I put my old man into the stock at 23 and he was happy with 28 to sell- as he says I got 5 years to live you got 50 - so we all have different agendas as to why we buy / hold and sell and mostly its emotion not reason that we act. Otherwise we would not be on this website right now.
