I was at the meeting yesterday. Only stayed for the morning session...that was long enough. It started at 9:00am and was not due to finish till about 6:00pm. Still it was worth travelling from Canberra even if only for a Braidwood bakery pie and coffee. There was some amusing arguments. One guy said he moved to Majors Creek so that he could see the stars in a clear sky at nighttime and that a mine would create light and dust that would interfere with his amenity. He was also concerned about noise including trucks backing up at night and made a "beep, beep, beep".
