Yes,there are detectors available at present but they can only detect parts per billion not parts per trillion.suggest you do a bit of reading before you make any more stupid statements.

Because a large amount of water is used in the fraccing process while drilling these oil wells there is a danger that naturally occurring benzine encountered during the drilling process will mix with this water and migrate into water tables and domestic wells.
