As I understand it, Akida does not replace ordinary computers for digital mathematical calculations. It expedites the classification of detectors measuring physical inputs such as vision from cameras, audio from microphones ... Akida performs these functions orders of magnitude faster than conventional computers, and with miniscule power requirements . The outputs from Akida can be used as is, or fed to conventional computers for additional processing downstream.
