I was stunned when my nephew (in his 30's) had over 100 LinkedIn "congrats" at his new job 18 months ago and numerous searches. Sadly they let him go once his probationary period was up.
I agree that what people say about you has to be considered. But, as I said, BRN has a track record of bad hires.
