How many people did not sell in the last run up, thinking they'll have to pay CGT and now sitting at substantial paper loss?
I bet most wish they had just sold and pay the CGT, but most are either too ego-maniacs to admit it, or stupid to acknowledge it.
CGT is definitely a pain and avoid if you can, but I would rather just pay the tax than holding onto the pain.
