If I am young kid, I know which box I would like.
While the mascot may give you the impression of overkill, the company is thinking about target markets too.
In my opinion, don't keep it simple. Keep it interesting so the young ones will want a box. They are the future, not the marketing experts here. Sometimes we just have to trust the judgement of the company.
