You can see why they would do it, look at the discussion it spurs. It is the definition of click-bait, I can guarantee there will be more... Even if they know it's not true, it is more accepted to have a strong position on a wrong opinion then ever. They can push this for months than backflip and try retain the same audience numbers. Double dipping....
