The camera facing the driver spurred ideas: Aside from facial identification serving theft-prevention purposes, it can also be employed to safeguard agains fatigue related accidents. Actually, this distinguishing feature is emblematic of Akida - recognition of the subtle nuances in facial/behavioural changes.

    The chip can learn the driver's unique facial traits, and be taught the standard micro-gestures that indicate dangerous level fatigue (lower eye lids, slower blinking, hanging head, along with outright closed eyes). The car could then promp the driver to confirm state, recommend breaks, and, in the instance of closed eyes, play a loud, annoying sound/music (such as You're Beautiful by James Blunt).

    This can have immense commercial and ethical implications. It is believed that 20-30% of all car crashes are attributable to fatigue.
