    I tend to agree with you that an announcement is not warranted.

    however, receiving the first batch of chips is still a significant milestone. it might not represent revenue the door, but it's another step towards getting chips into customer hands.

    receiving the first batch of iPhones for Apple is still a significant milestone in the narrative of the company.
