They are all BOUGHT via remuneration packages.
Tax is payable by those BRN employees when the shares vest.
Its preferable than buying on market as there are no potential insider trading problems. Its a great way of incentivizing employees and building 'insider holdings'.
We have those equity schemes here as well although our tax position is a little different.
