There is a difference between balance sheet and profit and loss items than 'inside holdings'. Therefore, you can not compare them. Inside holdings are not reported as profit and loss or balance sheet items. Cash in hand as you use as an example is an asset derived from periodic reports, and these are updated as reports are delivered to the market. The market relies on these for research. I am not sure how Inside holdings is derived by the collection companies, but as the market relies on these discolsures to make decisions, i am sure that they are far more accurate than posters estimates. The collection company whose accuracy you question would not be worth the billions its valued at if it was providing 'dodgy' information to the market.
