The Brainchip tree will sure to branch out with Akida AKD1500. Basically any custom chip company without their own Edge AI platform could surely be a customer of Brainchip...where else will they find a portable Edge AI platform to license out as an IP for their chip??? In terms of function, the Akida AKD1500 appears to be one of the most, if not the most, advanced Edge AI platform available and ticks all the box that any device production company needs for their AI aspiration...extreme low energy, always on, real-time, event-based, simultaneous sensory processing, scalable etc... - The Megachips branch - The Renesas branch - The ARM branch - The Intel branch - The SiFive branch - ? The Qualcomm branch - ? The Apple branch - God knows others! This is evolving in front of our eyes and we don't even realize it! Can those companies (eg, GrAI Matter Labs) which only produce a full Edge AI chip compete with these big chip companies?...I don't think how they can survive over time unless they are taken over but why would these big chip companies feel the need to when they can outsource to Brainchip? Outsourcing a specialized field is often more economical in the long run. Brainchip only need to complement these big companies rather than compete with them...this is obviously the foresight of Peter and Anil! Again these are my own thoughts so please DYOR.
