Nonsense vendor! Brokers dont want you to hold a stock long term. They rely on turnover/brokerage transactions for their main income.

Furthermore ,if all holders of stocks had the same view as you then as soon as there is a TA sell signal you would expect them all to sell creating a free fall, an absolute debacle of a result and then when way oversold as occurred with PRR then the bargain hunters move in. Of course traders love the volatility because thats how they make money . IMO it should simply be accepted that different posters have different strategies with some preferring to trade and others to hold. Both have a legitimate place in the market and neither can pontificate theirs is the best strategy. Sometimes in spite of TA or FA( not the expletive lol) a good result can be due to luck.
