Whatever the politics, of getting One Nation's vote, Mr Brandis spoke eloquently off the cuff in reponse to Ms Hanson's stunt.

It is one thing to wear a Burqa out of respect to religious tradition and quite another to wear it as a stunt.

The world is on edge, we do not need people with matches to light an inferno.
