I owned BAL. I followed it closely. I sold just before major collapse. Got most of my money back via a class action suite that damaged the company even more. Bellamy was lucky to have been bought out at the right time due to specific demand. I doubt Appen will be that lucky, but you never know. I reckon Appen is dead money for at least 1 year, maybe 2-3. If I can get in at $5.50, the reward will likely be worth the risk. Too risky to get in higher when I can get yields over 5% elsewhere and capital gain around 15-40% (at least) in that time frame.
