IMO you have captured the issue perfectly.
From my viewpoint they have ruined their credibility and continually kicked the can down the road, so now its time to pay the piper.
This means with urgency they need to:
- confirm / call an upgrade to H2 guidance and give some clear visibility around what the acquisition means in terms of driving profitable revenues going forward.
- have the leadership team open their wallets and buy on market like there is no tomorrow
- (over) deliver on point 1
Unfortunately the credibility of the business is shot so they need some positive earth shattering news to begin is restoration.
