    Brazil's President described the recent discovery of a vast oil field off his country's coast as "a gift from God". The nine newly discovered fields contain up to 80 billion barrels of light crude.

    The find will enable Brazil to supply all its own needs for the next century, or rake in huge wealth as an exporter
