matt, good note and you are right the trading reflects this till the 15th.
ie. volume traded for the year is ~112m (~22.5% of the company), and vast majority of this is after 23 Jan (volume traded from 23-Jan to now is ~93.5m (~19.2%))
But, once it hit ~90c area it stayed there for over a week till Cathay released the accepted shares, then there seems to be further 'overselling', the reasons for which is the source of much debate.
ie. volume traded since 15 Feb is 31m (6.35%), whereas the number of shares released by Cathay is only 12m.
given that the effective free float is only ~23-25%, its obviously had a meaningful impact on price.
I guess all will become clear soon enough.
