Of course we are not forgetting the icing on the cake.
It is only a by-product to gold. Its contribution is not insignificant but it would be nice if the price can improve somewhat.
There is the understanding that silver is rarer than gold because of its industrial demand. A few big pure silver miners have their production costs near the current sale price of silver. So they are making a loss or making little money in their operations.
