So 2022 is crunch time for A3D.
I am not going to bang on about the technology, this is about our comapny and what should or could be happening. As far as I can tell (with my limited engineering background and a whole lot of reading) the tech is sound. The various customers that have kicked the tires seem to have thought to too.
In 2020 we managed to kick along the bottom of the SP graph for another year with what seems like little to show for it. At the AGM some suspiciously similar graphs were presented with the years moved along another notch. Barnes Global Advisors presented a little bit of reality to the arena with their report. Yes, A3D have some nice tech, but it is not unique or world beating, and they will need to work very hard to be a success coming from the backwaters of Australia and without some deep-pocketed friends. The development of the AdditiveNow business gave me great hope that they had hit the right business model, a way of bridging the gap between the tech only being available for the biggest users and a printer in every workshop. Thus far that all seems to be still in gestation.
So in 2022 we need to see:
- A PLAN: More of the same is just not enough. Show us that you have what it takes to make this company a winner please MGT, or piss off.
- Some serious numbers from AdditiveNow to match the impressive list of serious "partners". If this is the major revenue option for now, then we need to see a river of cash, or at least some happy customers growing their usage.
