I have had a bit more time [and experience] to think about CNX's SP spike.
I have since put a couple of other trading ideas up on the 'short term thread' and I noticed the behavior of those stocks changed very quickly. I am forming the opinion that stocks like CNX suffer such low SP's mainly because they are out of favour or simply unnoticed. Their SPs drift lower over time as holders lose interest or faith.
It seems other traders [with more money than me I might add] picked up on my suggestion and, clearly, came in briefly on CNX. Although the price spiked and faded afterwards, I believe those traders would not have bothered if they thought the Co was a dud.
Trading in stocks can only be profitable if those stocks are priced incorrectly. CNX is, imo, priced well below its intrinsic value.
