I enjoy all the posts here, but have to disagree with this one. I used to be a professional PM investing in NJA stocks, many of them ADRs. The US market is just so vast in size compared to Australia and has many more stocks in this sector - and hence expertise. Agree that the ADR makes it easier for them to trade, however they will in general have a far greater understanding of this sector than the average PM in Australia - simply because it is bigger and hence they spend more time on it.
Dont be surprised to see the ADR driving the price of the Australian listing
